Paparazzi. Who are they and what do they want? The paparazzi would be considered the tabloid side of the media. They are free lance writers and photographers who hunt down celebrities and sell the articles or photos to the highest bidders. Some claim they make a living making celebrities and their families miserable.
The paparazzi show up at the most inappropriate times, sometimes scaring the children of the celebrities and making scenes. This makes it almost impossible for the celebrities to enjoy normal activities, whether they’re by themselves or with their families. The paparazzi don't seem to care how they endanger or provoke the celebrities in order to get that money shot. As long as they're getting paid, they'll keep taking the photos and writing the articles. To some people, the works of the paparazzi are just a form of entertainment. Few people ever stop to think that these celebrities are actually being attacked and manipulated in the media and tabloids.
Put yourself in the movie star's, singer's or star athlete’s shoes. Would you like cameras popping up in your face with flashing lights? Think about the families and their children that can't have normal lives. Many individuals can’t even go outside without being attacked or, as the paparazzi would call it, "interviewed." There is no excuse in this world for someone to attack a family with camera just for an "exclusive." They should set up an appointment for an interview like other papers, instead of trying to catch them doing something illicit or inappropriate to discredit them. Many feel the paparazzi make money off of others' misery. And some say it is the price of fame.
