As Americans, we value youth and body image and have a hard time accepting the normal changes that come with aging. As the body begins to droop and sag, many turn to plastic surgeons for a medical makeover.
Have you found yourself peeking out from under the hoods that have grown over your eyes? How about your arms - do they look like wings when you lift them? Are they flabby and jiggle when you move? Are there unsightly crow’s feet around your eyes?
Tell me, who wants to deal with daily reminders that our bodies are getting old and wearing out? Our beauty is fading and our looks are changing and it’s not for the better. Did you know that today you can literally transform any sagging, dragging or wrinkled body part? It’s true, you can.
Plastic surgeons have become very popular today with aesthetic plastic surgery being one of the biggest draws. Everyday regular people are seeking transformations for their aging bodies. Clear up and pretty up your face with chemical peels, microdermabrasion and laser resurfacing. Are your lips thin? Do they look deflated? You can get great sexy lips by plumping them up with Botox injections. Do you miss the days when you turned men’s heads as you walked by? Consider a breast implant and a tummy tuck.
But beware of the duck-lipped look seen on so many female celebrities, or the inability to let your face show your expressions. How do you know you can trust the doctors, or if they really are doctors? Perhaps the better way to age is to accept yourself as your are, appreciate the story told by your flaws and don't give into our youth-crazed culture. But then again, maybe just a little tuck here ore there...
