Perez Hilton was born on March, 23rd, 1978, in Miami, Florida, and is one of the most famous and successful bloggers currently on the internet. Perez Hilton was born with the name Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr, and took the name Perez Hilton as his pen name. Hilton has his own website (www.perezhilton.com) which he updates daily with celebrity news and the hottest gossip about your favorite celebrities. Hilton can, at times, be quite controversial, but it keeps his fans coming back for more. Before Hilton got into the blogging business, he tried his hand at acting and landed his first role on the hit show “The Sopranos”.

Before Hilton was famous, he graduated from New York University, and, being openly homosexual, worked in many gay rights organizations. Hilton began blogging seriously in 2005 and soon became one of the most talked about people in the industry. By 2007, Hilton’s website brought in over 8 million views a day. Along with his personal website and blogging, Hilton has had his share of acting and appearances. In 2004, Hilton appeared on a reality show entitled “From Flab to Fab” in which he shed 45 pounds.  He has kept up his slimmer appearance. Hilton went on to star in another reality show in 2007 entitled “Celebrity Rap Superstar,” but he was voted off after 6 short weeks.

Hilton often makes appearances on hit shows and appears weekly on “Extra” to do his gossip from his closet studio. Hilton has made appearances on “Madtv,” “TRL,” “Privileged” and “Family Guy.”
