Overload or Alzheimer's Disease?

My dad had Alzheimer's disease from the time he was about 63.  He died at 74.  It worries me that this is in my genes, but in true wimp fashion, I try not to think about it too often.

HOWEVER, two things happened today that scare me a little and made me wonder if it is Alzheimer's or just overload (too much much on my mind).  I will preface this by saying that on a few occasions, I have found myself standing in the shower with the shampoo bottle in my hand, wondering, "Did I already wash my hair, or am I about to start?"  But today I was NOT going to wash my hair, just wet it and redo it to get rid of the bedhead.  So I got into the shower and wet my hair.  Then I squirted a few pumps of Cetaphil face wash in my hand and did I apply it to my face?  NO - I PUT IT ON MY HEAD!!!  Of course, I realized it right away but, SHEESH, I felt stupid.

I got "anointed" and dressed, and went into the kitchen, put the water on to make tea and washed a few things in the sink.  When I went to put on some hand lotion, I couldn't find it.  Mystified, I began to look for it and when it wasn't in the places that made sense, I decided to get a little funny about it.  Guess where I found the bottle of hand lotion...IN THE MICROWAVE.  Should I be worried??

You have me laughing hysterically...I have done almost the same things you describe. Scary, yes - but at least there is someone else that does it too!
