I always stopped to look at the guy behind the wheel of a Corvette. This was totally unlike me, since I was so very preppy in high school, but those guys always looked so cool! And that car said "Muscle" the minute you saw it.
I was looking at cars on the internet the other day and came upon this great article (see link below) about the new 2009 Chevrolet Corvette and I thought, "Why not me? A woman can drive one of these!"
The new ZR1 not only looks great, but it's the most powerful Corvette to hit the road yet. It's actually GM's fastest car ever. And this new ZR1 is more than just a souped up C6. It has very limited availability and sets a new benchmark in Chevrolet Corvette performance.
Even at a price of around $104,000, this is still the cheapest car available with standard CCM brakes which work great well when they are cold. The shocks were re-engineered for extreme temperatures.
The body is made of carbon fiber, and has a special paint that prevents ultraviolet ray damage. So much thought has been put into this car!
Durability tests have been extensive. Both passenger-car tests and racing tests are being performed. Safety is important to Chevrolet and the Corvette has standard and available safety features for protection before during any collision.
In addition to the ZR1, the other models include the Corvette Coupe, the Corvette Convertible and the Z06.
