Where to Put Your Purse While Driving

Is this a problem for anyone else?  It MUST be! A woman needs her purse near her since she carries her life in it.

If I put my purse on the front passenger seat, I can reach anything in there that I might need.  But if I have to stop short or I take a turn - BOOM! - my purse goes flying.  And, of course, the lipstick I have been searching for is at the far corner of the floor near the door, along with every scrap of paper that flew out.  The wallet is wedged under the seat, and something always manages to get stuck in or to disappear into the nether-regions between the seat and the console.

If I put my purse on the floor behind me, then I can't reach to answer the cell phone that I forgot to take out when I got in the car in the first place.

I used to drive a van that had enough space between the two front seats for a purse.  I actually found a Longabarger basket that fit perfectly in there to hold my purse plus other mom-stuff.  It was perfect.

So, car designers, I ask you please to take this problem into consideration when you are at your drawing boards.  Give a girl a break!!
