Eight men left, and still everyone wonders which bachelor has a girlfriend. We are in Vancouver at Whistler Ski Resort and tonight will bring two 1-on-1 dates and one group date. A total of five roses will be handed out to the guys who will get home town visits, where Bachelorette Jillian goes to meet their families. They all board The Rocky Mountaineer train which is quite luxurious.
On this private train, Robby gets the first 1-on-1 date. They have drinks, enjoy the view from outside the train (on a little balcony), and have dinner in a lovely train car. Bartender Robby is 25, 'between jobs', and she is not at all sure about his future. He suffers from abuse of the word AWESOME. The train stops, and Robby and his luggage are left in the middle of nowhere. The others see this out the window and are quite surprised.
Jillian is resting and slimeball-country-singer Wes walks in to cuddle and comfort. Cut to his voice saying, "The fame I'll get from this... I have records to sell...I'll always have Jillian wrapped around my finger...". Hmmm
Group date: foot-fetish-Tanner, break-dancing-Michael, creepy-Wes, nice-guy-Jesse, cutie-boy-Jake and almost-perfect-Kiptyn. Snowshoeing on Emerald Lake (this show is like a travelog for Canada) Lots of fun, some rolling in the snow, all men want a rose. Back at the lodge, cocktails and laughter. Jillian and Jake go outside but are interrupted before he can say all he wants to say. Jill and Kiptyn touch and kiss and she loves the physical part of this relationship. Group discussion about what Jill sleeps in leads to foot-fetish-Tanner in his tightie-whities and Jillian says she is not ready to see anyone's package just yet. Oh joy. Tanner rubs Jillian's feet, proclaiming them to be 'close to perfect' - they're soft, she has high arches, painted toenails and good toes. He says they are a 9 to 9 and a half. If they were painted with Mango-Mango, they'd be perfect. This is NUTS!
Jill and Jesse talk and kiss. Michael and Jill roast marshmallows at the firepit and she makes him 'light up like a lightbulb', but she's not so sure about the physical with him. Tanner confesses to telling the girlfriend story and Wes says he can't stand a tattletale. Jake said he would have told too. Then creepy-Wes says he 'already got what he wanted, sang his song, made it for 6 shows so he's ready to haul ass or stay and get the girl'. Nice. Into the hot tub with the guys and Jillian presents the rose to Kiptyn. Disappointment all around.
1-on-1 with Reid, snowboarding. He is a good sport and she likes that. Then with the setting sun, they discover an ice table and chairs, sculptures and flower pots and mugs. Lots of kissing, then back to the hotel. There is fondue awaiting which freaks him out - meat in oil seems to bother him alot - and discussion about washed veggies (him) vs. unwashed veggies (her). Despite the differences in their upbringing and lives, they think they would do great together, kiss, kiss, kiss.
The train pulls into Banff to a waiting, squinting Chris Harrison. He and Jill talk about the guys, she looks at the pictures. Kiptyn and Reid have roses, and that means 3 more roses to go and 2 men off the island. Jill enters and says she has questions and takes Michael aside. They talk about his age and if he is ready and he says he always has wanted to be a young dad. And so we start...
#3 goes to Jesse. (Tanner looks scared as does Michael.) #2 goes to ...WES. NO WAY!! YES WAY. Grrr. The voice of Chris Harrison announces, "Gentlemen, Jillian, the final rose tonight. When you're ready..." #1 goes to...Michael. So goodbye to foot-fetish-Tanner, who walks out without saying a word, and cutie-boy-Jake who feels really 'blindsided'.
BUT THE PREVIEWS...I can't wait!!!
