Facial Hair - NOT Funny

What is happening on my chin???? 

I left the house today, impeccably made up, plucked, moisturized and otherwise anointed to face the day.  I had looked in the 10X magnifying mirror, not wanting to go into the world and offend the general public.  I cleaned up pretty well and went out to face the day.  Drove off and was in my own little world as I stopped at a red light and then it happened.  I felt it.  Absentmindedly running a finger over my chin while daydreaming, I felt what seemed to be a small wire, poking out of my chin.  A rough spot, if you will.  WTF, as they say on the internet.

I got to my destination and took a peek in the ladies' room mirror and there it was... it looked like the world's strongest eyelash.  And it was growing out of my chin.  HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN?? And so quickly?  It is a phenomenon. 

Upon closer examination, I see another one.  But this one is white and it gleams in the light like a shiny tooth in a cartoon.  It can't be me.  It must be the mirror and the lighting.  But no, there they are.  I have taken to carrying tweezers with me and so I ply my tool and remove the offenders.  And when I walk out, I overhear two men discussing how the hair on their heads has changed location and now grows out of their ears.  I smiled.  It's all in the perspective.
