Plastic surgery was once meant to repair severe damage from a disfiguring accident or something of that nature - to rebuild what was destroyed. Today, plastic surgery is as common as going to the gym! As people find themselves more in the public eye, they certainly seem less and less satisfied with their appearance. No longer is plastic surgery used to simply repair nasal passages; today, it is more commonly used to get yourself Sandra Bullock's nose!
Breast augmentation was once used to help breast cancer patients with their self esteem after having a mastectomy, but it's come to have a much different use. Breast implants have become so common that it is a favorite pastime for many to guess which Hollywood bust is an original. Breast augmentation is no longer just for health reasons; in the past decade, it has become more of a circus show! Seriously, who wants to have breasts the size of watermelons looking like they are popping out of your neck?
Today, some doctors are doing vaginal plastic surgery to repair natural deformities that may be causing other health problems, such as incontinence or vaginal pain. It sounds wonderful for those who suffer from this fproblem. But hey, let's not forget the buttocks! If you are unhappy with the shape and size of your bottom, why not have plastic surgery? It's pretty comical that so many people are giving up so much valuable time trying to figure out whose bottom they want to wear! But it's 2009 - what do I know??
