I just returned from a wonderful trip to Sicily. I went with a group of friends who are a variety of ages and genders When we finally arrived at our hotel in Taormina, a beautiful town on the Ionian part of the Mediterranean, we were pretty tired. We went to our rooms, some to unpack and some to relax, knowing that we would meet in about 1 hour for dinner.
Our room assignments followed no pattern, some on the same floor, some on different ones. My room overlooked the water, and the scenery was exquisite. I unpacked a few things, and decided to take advantage of the sunlight to do a little check of the eyebrows and (gasp!) chin hairs that have popped up occasionally. So I took off my shoes, got something to drink, found my magnifying mirror and tweezers, heaved a sigh and out I went onto the balcony. I settled myself on the comfy chair, propped my feet up on the ottoman, and began the age old grooming ritual.
When I looked down the row of balconies to my right, there they were...the rest of the women from the trip who were in rooms all along the same hallway. Everyone of them had their tweezers in hand and armed with their own magnifying mirrors, we proceeded in synchro-grooming!! What a sight we were, just like the Rockettes, only different.
