The Current Price of Gold

There is so much in the news today about the price of gold and how this is a good time to sell those odd earrings or chains that you don’t wear anymore.  In fact, I have been invited to ‘gold parties’ where a jeweler comes to someone’s home and women bring their jewelry to sell while visiting over cake and coffee.  Some go home with pretty sizable checks.

The price of gold continues to escalate as people have less faith in our dollar.  In May, 2009, gold was selling at a little over $925.00 per ounce, while today, November of 2009, it is over $1000.00 per ounce.
