After Christmas

It is the Monday after the big holiday week.  I think all the people who LOVE that after holiday shopping are back at work - at least I HOPE so because I am venturing out today.

Victoria's Secret is that no one over 21 can fit into her merchandise.  Or, if they can, it will cling in a MOST unsightly manner.  When things have dropped due to gravity, a clingy tank top is NOT a thing of beauty over pajama bottoms.  So back to Vicky's I go today to see what is left that might work.  Then it is off to Macy's to look for the red turtleneck that I thought I owned but I don't.  How did I ever make it through the holidays without one?  I hope there is something left that isn't stained or frayed, pulled or ripped.  I would imagine that the Gap is a mess too.Good luck to me searching through what I imagine will be piles of unfolded garments.  Maybe I will hit the book stores - things there always fit. I am not even going to enter the Hallmark shop.  I would imagine that is the first stop for those Dec. 26th pillagers bargain shoppers. 

What I AM looking forward to is sitting down with a Starbucks fancy coffee, enjoying a beautiful outdoor mall on a cool California day, where the fake snow looks real, where the palm trees are professionally decorated with twinkling lights and the fountains are choreographed to dance with the Christmas music.  THAT is what Christmas is all about.
