Who decided that orange is the international symbol for decaffeinated coffee? I found myself wondering that today. Why was I wondering that? NO IDEA. My mind wanders and I wonder about things that are completely irrelevant in the overall scheme of things.
In my research of this topic, I have learned that orange is the color associated with Sanka, the first decaf coffee. It had an orange label. So this orange thing has been going on since the 1920s. HOWEVER - it seems that if a restaurant or business is using Folger's decaf, then the handles are green. I guess Folger's supplies those pots. I bet you sleep better tonight knowing this!!
Now I wonder, if I drink diet, decaffeinated Coke , then what in the world am I really doing??? Things that make you go 'hmmmm'...
