Here we go...A short review and then the Encore Dance was Nicole and Derek’s 50s-inspired Paso Doble. Just as good the second time around. Then a bunch of filler, music, dancing by no one we care about to the Dixie Kings singing You’ve Got a Friend in Me... in Spanish. It was odd in its Flamenco style. Hmmm.
More nonsensical reviews to eat up time. And then we learn that Nicole and Derek are safe - no surprise there. The first couple in the bottom two - Chad and Cheryl.
A college dance off between Purdue University and University of California, San Diego. A Samba from UCSD. I don’t care for the Samba at all but this was good! Purdue did a Mambo - the judges loved the spirit but thought it needed tweaking. More Gypsy Kings with dancers. Will we ever get to the heart of the matter???
Forty Five minutes later, we get more nonsense by un-funny people and then we learn that Evan and Anna are safe. COMMERCIAL!!!! They crammed quite a few commercials in with a weather blurb and then with 6 minutes to go we learn that Erin and Maks are safe, so along with Chad and Cheryl the other bottom two team is Niecy and Louis and the team going home is.... Niecy and Louie. A nice little goodbye and my own prayer that next week’s results show is 30 minutes long!
